Journal of Perioperative Innovation (ISSN 2097-7816) is an international, Open Access English academic journal established in 2026 by Sun Yat-sen University. Aiming to be at the forefront of global innovation, the journal aligns with the strategic priorities outlined in China’s “15th Five-Year Plan for National Health”, which explicitly advocates for “advancing medical technology innovation” with an emphasis on smart healthcare, precision medicine, and integrated medicine.

Aims and Scope:

The aim of JPI is to establish a world-class international academic platform and dedicated to serving the global community, advancing transformative ideas, technologies, and practices in the perioperative field. By publishing high-impact research that has undergone stringent peer review, the journal seeks to introduce new mechanisms, concepts, and standards. The ultimate goal is to lead disciplinary development and meaningfully improve surgical outcomes and quality of life for patients worldwide. 

The journal is dedicated to presenting innovative research findings related to perioperative management strategies and technologies. It welcomes submissions across a range of formats, including clinical trials and registry studies, original basic research, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, case reports, and prospective proof-of-concept studies. Submissions that integrate interdisciplinary collaborations involving engineering, data science, materials science, and clinical medicine are particularly encouraged and prioritized. All manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process before publishment.
